I was born and raised in the greatest state in the United States. You guessed it, Missouri. I now live in Los Angeles, CA which is a city that is widely considered to be one of the greatest cities in the world. Wrong! Yeah 70 degree weather all the time is pretty cool (I look better in winter clothes), being surrounded by world class restaurants is alright (ever heard of Applebee’s LA?), I guess the beaches are nice if you can get there (the 405 amirite; more of a lake guy anyways).
I grew up being very passionate about Missouri sports and if you took a look at my family it wouldn’t be hard to see why. My grandpa loved Cardinals baseball so much that he named my dad after Stan Musial (thank God the Royals didn’t exist yet), who is the greatest Cardinals player of all time. My mom’s brother has had MIZZOU football season tickets for at least 35 years and shows up to every game in time to see the team walk across the bridge from the training facility to the stadium. These two teams are the foundation of my sports fandom that have been engrained in me since birth. I have since grown to love the Chiefs, Sporting KC (I know it’s MLS and they play in Kansas), and the St. Louis Blues. I will be using this blog to write about my favorite teams and not much else because I really don’t pay attention to sports outside of these teams (but I will argue with you and act like I know what I’m talking about).
